This new is of concerned to all NROC Coaches and SEP providers,
1. The Sports Education Programme (SEP) is a collaborative partnership between Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). Schools eligible for SEP are Primary, Secondary, JCs, Centralised Institution and Special Education Schools. Under SEP, each school is provided with a $10,000 dollar-to-dollar matching grant for them to take up sports programmes from an endorsed list. The SEP aims to advocate the importance of sports education, encourage sports participation in schools and increase sporting opportunities for the young. It also serves as an integrated and structured approach to link sports service providers with schools to ensure that innovative and quality sports programmes are delivered.
2. Applications who wish to submit programmes for endorsement for the Sports Education Programmes (SEP) for 2014/15, are to take note of the following:
a. The current SEP requirements as indicated in https://sep.ssc.gov.sg/signupme.asp.
b. All coaches and instructors must attain the certification for National Standards for Youth Sports (NSYS) as part of the criteria to deliver programmes under SEP. Coaches without the certification by 31 July 2013 would NOT be eligible to submit for endorsement for SEP 2014/15.
