Recently, we have seen increased incidences in the youth sports scene that displayed less-than-desirable behaviours not only from youth themselves but the adults involved as well.
The Singapore Sports Council has developed the National Standards for Youth Sports (NSYS) which comprises a set of 3 key principles and 9 standards that aim to remind and encourage all stakeholders involved in youth sports to support and nurture our young players. It is a set of behavioural standards that all adults delivering sport to children below 18 years old should adhere to, so as to safeguard the interests of children playing sport. Henceforth, it is essential for all coaches/instructors to be aware and comply with the recommended standards.
From this workshop, participants will learn:
· Understanding youth and youth sports
· The need for youth-centric principles and standards
· The NSYS – Singapore’s response to a growing need
· Understanding and Implementing the NSYS
Please complete and submit the Registration Form, together with your payment (either by Cash or Cheque) to Singapore Sports Council. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis and only confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
